About Us

Big Fat Mallard (BFM) is a local funk/soul collective based out of Dormont, PA, just through the Liberty Tubes. Founded during the great quarantine of 2020, BFM was founded with the intention of spreading smiles and happiness across the region through use of fun, fast-paced funk music. You may recognize BFM from their recent appearance at the Carnegie Science Center 21+ Night, Jergel's Rhythm Grille, the Hollywood Theater and more.

Big Fat Mallard features an array of talented singers and horn players over a rhythm section so fat, some confuse it for the return of the giant rubber ducky.

You can expect to hear funk classics, original songs, groovy covers of modern songs, and maybe even a 90's hip hop song or two.
